• Your car will -not- work via remote FOB when you swap pumps:
1) You have to either swap the internals from your broken pump with the new pieces
2) Use VCDS to reprogram the car for the new VDO pump (different circuit board)
3) Dealer reprogram
4) Your physical KEY will open and close all doors and trunk like normal.
• If you install new pump and FOB doesn't work, the pump works, your car needs a reprogram - it is not a faulty pump.
